Better Time management At Home.

And here we are again at Sweet blog, the sweetest blog online and the home of home products.

And today, we will talk about a topic that, if optimized, can help you far beyond the four walls of your home But also in many areas of your life - Time management.

Even though Our area of expertise is the "Home" concept, this article will mainly talk about proper time management within your home. Still, from time to time, we will expand and present ideas relevant to the concept of time management in general.

The issue of time management connects intuitively with the 'home' concept because the primary place where we spend most of our time is... our home.

Therefore, the content of this article must also refer to other principles related to time management, and not only in the context of our home.

In this article, we will review the best tips that will help you optimally manage your time at home and, thus, be much more productive and, as a result - Happier.

And as always, later in the article, there will be a refreshing infographic presentation and a video summarizing its content for you.

Get your notebook ready. We're getting started.

1. Shut down distractions.

As most of us know, distractions are the number one cause of time wasting.

Distractions can be categorized into two parts, personal and general.

The general distractions are the ones we all know well.

For instance - technological distractions, such as endlessly scrolling on your smartphone or aimlessly staring at the TV screen.

These are significant distractions that can "burn" countless hours. One could certainly argue that addiction to technology can cause procrastination and laziness.

By the way, We are deliberately not referring to other examples, such as computer games, as a cause of distraction, Because our primary focus is on "passive" distractions - those that make you lie in inaction and actually do nothing (such as mentioned, staring at the TV or continuously scrolling on your smartphone). On the other hand, a computer game that is not a productive 'thing' (will be noted again) - still, unlike the examples above, involves doing something active and, therefore - not relevant to the type of distraction we are dealing with.

Despite the distractions your mind is dealing with - try to be focused!

Create a " distraction's free-zone" - a physical space within your home that will hardly contain technological distractions of any kind.

'How do you do that?' You must be asking.

Once you internalize the claim that technological means are the primary source of distraction, ensuring that there are no such within the specific area you defined is worthwhile.
And every time, before you enter there, put away all your electronic devices.

2. A strict schedule.

A strict schedule is your best friend when it comes to proper time management at your home. In fact, it is more than that - it is your Bible - use it and be redeemed. Hallelujah!

If you are interested in ideal time management, there really is no better tool than to conduct a strict schedule.

The advantages it brings with it are very significant, And in fact, its obvious benefits are pretty intuitive.

It will put you on the right track regarding principles such as focus and achieving goals.

You can read more here about the Benefits of Creating a Schedule for Your Tasks.

Make a strict schedule and stick to it

And as we mentioned above, if distractions are your most significant obstacle to optimal time management, a strict schedule is the most appropriate response to this challenge. Use it wisely.

Here you can find inspiration for suitable methods to build such a schedule.

By the way, a strict schedule is an excellent concept, but at the same time, you need to know how to use it. Here are a few tips about it:

First, know how to prioritize. Some things are more important than others, so you must know where to invest more effort and where less.

Second, Ensure to assign precise time to each task. Sometimes you have to know how to let go. You must not "get stuck" on a task that does not require doing so.

The third tip - respect your time!

Not everyone is worth your time. The world won't collapse if you don't answer everyone who rings your cell phone.

Also included are friends and family members. You can always politely answer, "I'm busy. I'll get back to you later".

Almost everything is for sale, except time.

3. Map your weak spots and attack them.

An ancient Chinese scholar once said, "my life is easier when I know what I'm dealing with."

If you are, by any chance, an expert on ancient Chinese history and are scratching your head right now in bewilderment, it's because no Chinese scholar has ever said such a thing.

We invented it right now.

But the guiding principle is still valid.

At the end of the day, each of us knows where he excels and the places he has a hard time with.

One of the best strategies for optimizing opportunities is understanding your specific needs and addressing them directly.

No one knows better your weak spots than you, And you are also the only one who knows the real reasons about why you do not manage your time as effectively as you should.

Once you have internalized that technological distractions are your most significant difficulty - attack them directly.

And if your specific challenge is the lack of organization and order - Try to use a strict schedule.

And let's say procrastination is your longtime enemy - You should focus on methods to increase effectiveness.

The guiding principle is providing a direct response to your specific challenges known only to you. This response will help you become more effective and, thus, optimize better your time management at home.

The main characteristic of poor time management at home is the lack of focus on the time that passes by.

Therefore, Our two cents on this paragraph (mapping and recognizing your weak spot) will give you the necessary awareness, and, Thus, your time will not pass without proper use - on the contrary, You will better figure out where your challenges are and when (and due to what) you degenerate into procrastination.

By the way, a fascinating fact is that there are many overlapping examples of effective time management at your workplace and home. Read more about it and try to take an example for your own nest.

4. Mindset

Like any other behavioral process, improving time management in your home will consist of ups and downs.

And as such, it requires specific mental abilities.

First, you can't be hard on yourself. It would be best if you Cut yourself some slack.

Rome wasn't built in a day, and neither is the toughness of your character.

Many years' behavior patterns will not change in a blink of an eye. For example, if you are a procrastinator by nature, It will likely take time and effort to improve it. And if you occasionally have small failures where you are distracted from your work and the schedule you set, don't panic. Just go back to your strict schedule instead of beating yourself down.

A classic progress process contains a million failures. They are an inherent part.

The only difference between losers and winners is that the winner understands this and immediately continues to the next attempt without whining. On the other hand, the loser gets discouraged due to those inevitable failures and quits.

Second, set yourself some 'cheat time.'

The meaning of this expression is to do something that would have been considered as "time wasting" in any other scenario:

The bingeing of a favorite series/meaningless scrolling on your mobile screen, playing video games, and more.

Doing so from time to time can help you relax and escape your fixed and rigid routine. With it, you can blow some steam and, thus, recharge yourself.

The importance of cheat time is better known in bodybuilding, But it is also relevant here.

By the way, another tool that can help you manage time more rightly at home is proper and rational goal management.

You must understand that the definition of your goals must be in total harmony with the abilities and resources currently available to you.

If your goals are too big for the current moment, You will most likely not meet them, which will cause you to despair and throw away all your efforts to optimize your time management.

Mindset is everything

Therefore, You should set realistic and achievable goals while remembering that the final destination is not relevant at the moment (because it will seem too big and will make you quit), while all you have to do is to be focused on the consistent and slow progress every day.

Place one brick at a time, and you'll soon have a wall.

I think that this blog bubble up very important questions about our daily life, The hard part is to find the weak spot because most of the time we are not aware that they are actually there.
I really like the idea of a non-technologic zone, I have multiple of those in my house, for example, while I am sitting on my balcony, I avoid using my phone! just sit and enjoy a good coffee, surrounded by flowers and birds, it makes my day so much better!
Thanks for the blog, I enjoyed reading it! keep going!
